Psycholytic Therapy

Psycholytic Therapy

Psycholytic therapy combines psychedelic medicines and integrative psychotherapy using specific protocols based on extensive research. It has been proven to provide a rapid and longer-lasting response to alleviating symptoms and behavioral change in individuals with trauma-based disorders. Research indicates that psychedelic substances enhance brain plasticity, facilitating the formation of more efficient neural pathways and thereby easing behavior modification. The medications facilitate the emergence of new information in patients, gain deeper insight into their being, allowing them to more easily confront unresolved memories and emotions.

Psychotherapists are trained to guide clients on their journey of interpreting experiences and integrating new insights into their lives during and after dosing. According to researchers, it’s the therapy style that comes after the experience that turns psychedelics into an effective medicine for healing past emotional wounds. It is these wounds that sit throughout the body in the central nervous system that perpetuate the emotional and also physical problems that later emerge. Clinicians must complete specialized training and obtain certification to provide this kind of integration therapy.

Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy maintains a quick response, the effect is long-lasting, and improvement persists beyond treatment. By combining the drug and therapy, mental health treatment shifts towards resolving the root cause, rather than solely managing symptoms. It challenges the  prevailing “chemical imbalance” theory in the brain, which has been adherred to by Big Pharma and discredits the notion that the brain’s chemical balance can only be achieved through psychotropic drugs. It proposes that altering conscious experiences and interpreting them meaningfully can offer simpler and longer lasting effects.
